Type Zoom
One big word fills the frame, then the camera dives into it until the letters' color swallows the screen, and the color clears to reveal the next shot.
When to use it
A bold, type-led cut between scenes or into a section: "NEXT", "WAIT", a product or chapter name, a hype word in a launch video. Put it on a track above both clips and center it on the cut (from = cut frame − half its length): the screen is fully covered at its midpoint. Short words (1–6 letters) zoom best.
